Fulham secured a 3-1 win over Brighton

After a critical mistake by Brighton custodian Bart Verbruggen handed the home team an early lead, Alex Iwobi scored twice to help Fulham defeat Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 in the Premier League on Thursday. In the fourth minute, Verbruggen attempted to play out from the back but instead sent it directly to the Fulham striker, who tapped into the open net to give the Nigerian international a goal.

Iwobi told Amazon Prime, "We devised a structure because we know Brighton prefers to play out from the back, and it clearly worked for the first goal." "We accept that a goal is a goal regardless of how it is approached." Despite the early loss, Brighton did appear to be a more formidable squad than their rival, and Carlos Baleba eventually equalised in the 56th minute. Baleba struck a low effort after Joao Pedro, a forward for Brazil, lay the ball off with a backheel.
