Galatasaray secured a 2-2 draw in a dramatic away match against Malmo

Galatasaray secured a 2-2 draw in a dramatic away match against Swedish side Malmo during the 6th round of the UEFA Europa League. The Turkish giants initially found themselves trailing after Erik Botheim’s precise header gave Malmo a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. However, Galatasaray quickly regrouped, showing resilience and determination.

Kerem Demirbay, who substituted for the injured Davinson Sanchez in the 32nd minute, had a mixed performance. While he contributed to Galatasaray’s efforts, his inadvertent assist allowed Elias Jelert to score Malmo’s equalizer in the 43rd minute, leveling the game at 1-1 by halftime. In the second half, Galatasaray seized the initiative, and Yunus Akgun’s clinical finish in the 56th minute put them ahead 2-1. Despite Galatasaray’s dominant play, Malmo pushed hard in the dying moments, and Pena’s 90+2-minute goal salvaged a draw for the home side.
