Girona beat Real Betis 3-2

Artem Dovbyk and Willian Jose each scored two goals to equalize the score at 2-2, but Girona's all-time leading scorer, Stuani, broke the deadlock in the 91st minute, sending the rain-soaked crowd into frenzy. As a consequence, Girona, now in third position, increased to 65 points, two points behind Barcelona in second place and nine ahead of Athletic Bilbao in fourth. Betis dropped their fourth straight game and now have 42 points, good for seventh place.

After Girona was demoted to the second division, Stuani remained with the team and stated DAZN, "We will continue working and preparing for games as if they were our last until it is mathematically guaranteed." Thirty minutes passed with no goals, until Girona took the lead thanks to a VAR review that saw Dovbyk's header deflected wide by Betis defender Chadi Riad, who had his arm up.
