Girona’s 1-0 win over Celta Vigo

Even though both teams still have a game left to play, Yangel Herrera's goal in injury time put the Catalan club three points ahead of Real Madrid and four ahead of Barcelona. The "clasico" between the two Spanish titans takes place in Barcelona on Saturday. Girona dominated the second half and enjoyed the majority of the opportunities at home. With just the custodian to beat, Yan Cuoto made a terrible mistake as he shot well over the bar.

With eight minutes remaining, a goal for Celta was disallowed due to a foul on the goalie; coach Rafa Benítez referred to the decision as "inexplicable." With six points after eleven games, it is still in the relegation zone. On November 4, it will play Sevilla at home. The following day, Girona travels to Osasuna for a game.
