Granada held back Athletic Bilbao to a 1-1 draw

After the terrible death of Granada supporter Antonio Trujillo on Sunday, the game was replayed on Monday from the 17th minute, with an Inaki Williams goal giving them a lead. The Basque team continued where they had left off, producing more opportunities. Oihan Sancet had two clear chances, but he was denied by Andre Ferreira before blasting wide with only a defender on the line to beat. Williams senior came the closest to adding a second goal, but his glancing header smacked off the underside of the bar.

Later Granada would make Athletic rue their squandered opportunities. Los Nazaries became a threat to Athletic in the second half, fueled by the passion for the game. Just 10 minutes into the second half, they built so much pressure that Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta accidentally headed into his net. Athletic squandered the chance to stay two points clear of Real Sociedad and two points away from the top four.
