Hagi thinks Mourinho will bring United back to glory days

It's been a fairly difficult last year for Jose Mourinho, who after getting sacked at Chelsea was jobless for a few months before getting signed by Manchester United to take on Louis Van Gaal's job during the summer. Since then, there hasn't been a day in which the press hasn't criticized him for not performing at the same level he had in the previous club's he's managed. But now results have been on his side lately, it appears he is finally getting out of that dark tunnel.

Former Romania international Gheorghe Hagi, spoke to Omnisport about Mourinho's role with the Red Devils, he is convinced that he can bring them back to their glory days from the Ferguson era. Talking to Omnisports, Hagi said: "Mourinho has his secrets. It's not easy at United. They have suffered for two or three years since [Alex] Ferguson left but I think they'll do it. They must be patient but they'll get there, I think Mourinho will get them there."

Hagi added: "It's a matter of taste, if you like his football or not. Yes, I like Pep's football - how he thinks, how he analyses the game, how he plays, how he changes his players, his style of play. I think someday I will face him, I will play a match against him and we'll see who's quicker in the mind."
