There are plenty of stories at FC Barcelona of players who have felt mistreated by the club, especially young players who haven't lived up to the expectations. The example of Pedro Rodriguez or Nolito come to mind, incredibly talented players who don't feel the love from the Catalan club and decide to look for it elsewhere. For Croatian playmaker Alen Halilovic, this was the exact case as he just moved to German club Hamburger and feels a little resentful towards the club.
Talking to the press already at his new club, they asked him about Barcelona. He said: "I'm not thinking about whether Barca is going to exercise their buy-back option. I’m only interested with the here and now. At the moment everything is excellent. I’ve been received very well, and I have team-mates who speak Croatian which helps greatly. I’ll continue to concentrate only on football, and consequently work, the reason I signed for Barcelona in the first place. I like to play and isolate one-on-one, and to gamble a little when passing, similarly to [Lionel] Messi."
Halilovic is one of those incredibly talented players who you just know they will succeed where ever they end up playing, his style is very similar to that of Lionel Messi. They both have the same kind of quick pace and dribbling skills, it'll be interesting to follow him at Hamburger this new season and see what he is capable of pulling off.
