Harry Kane loses a key team-mate

According to Sky Germany, the Germany international has rejected an improved contract extension offer from the Bundesliga giants, choosing instead to walk away as a free agent when his current deal expires at the end of the month. Bayern are said to have been formally notified of Sane’s intention to depart.

Sane has been strongly linked with his Arsenal, but his next destination looks increasingly likely to be Turkey, as Sky Germany reports that he has verbally agreed to join Galatasaray. The Super Lig champions have offered Sane a net salary of €10–12m per year, with the final touches now being put on the deal before a formal announcement is made.

Missing out on Sane will be a blow for Arsenal, who have also been monitoring Nico Williams of Athletic Club, but the Spaniard's reported wage demands have posed a stumbling block in negotiations.
