The German club Leipzig is nearing the conclusion of a deal to sign English star Harvey Elliott, a Liverpool player, to be the direct replacement for Xavi Simons, who is preparing to move to Chelsea following his team's upcoming match against Bayern Munich in the opening of the Bundesliga.
According to german press, Leipzig has reached a full agreement with Elliott regarding personal terms, bringing the deal a step closer to finalization before the end of the summer transfer window.
Elliott, who is 22 years old, is considered one of the most prominent English talents in the playmaker position.
