Just like Messi or Neymar do in their own respective national teams, Eden Hazard is Belgium's most talented player and this status may give him the skipper's armband sometime soon. In Neymar's case he chose to leave that armband behind and focus on being the most talented player of his team, Messi decided to keep the armband and things are not going so well for him so far. Hazard has a choice to make here and looking at these examples, he wanted people to know how he would be as a captain.
Talking to the press ahead of Belgium's next match against Estonia, Hazard said: "It's good for me to be the captain. I enjoy it. But I can't be like John Terry. As captain, I don't talk too much. I try to talk with my feet on the pitch. My ambition is to lead Belgium to the World Cup, to win something for the country. I hope we can do it but it's still far away."
About his good times with Antonio Conte at Chelsea, Hazard added: "Maybe the system has helped me to find my form. We tried it in Belgium, now we do it with Chelsea. I said after the 5-0 win against Everton, it means I just need to focus offensively as the wing-back is there to defend. My fortunes have changed since the system changed. It's very good to play with my brother as well. I hope there will be lot of games together."
