Hector Fort injury

The strategy to play Atletico Madrid on Saturday night has probably already been decided by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick. He will have to reconsider, though, if Hector Fort was a part of it. Due to muscle soreness, the 18-year-old defender did not attend Barcelona's last practice before Friday's crucial match. Sport claims that as a result, he is unlikely to be included in their team for the match. Andreas Christensen and Ansu Fati both trained without any problems, with the latter recuperating from an Achilles tendon injury and the former returning from a hamstring issue. Christensen will probably be held out longer to allow for a full recovery, but Fati will be in the squad.

For the first time, Barcelona is working towards having a totally healthy team under Hansi Flick, but their two other absences are expensive.
