Hellas Verona and Lecce played out an exciting 2-2 draw at the Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium, with goals coming from Remi Oudin, Cyril Ngonge, Joan Gonzalez, and Milan Djuric. The early moments saw Ngonge brought down by Dorgu, leading to a free-kick that he delivered with a shot cross over the bar. Ngonge continued to threaten, testing Wladimiro Falcone from distance, but the Lecce goalkeeper could only parry the ball back into a danger area, requiring a defensive clearance.

As the game progressed, Michael Folorunsho unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the D that narrowly missed Falcone's posts. Lecce responded with Oudin's potent 25-yard strike, earning them a corner. Despite chances for Nicola Sansone and Banda, Lecce finally broke through as Oudin capitalized on a defensive error, curling in a shot off the post from the edge of the area after half an hour. The match remained intense, showcasing Lecce's growing confidence and Verona's resilience.
