Hellas Verona and Torino goalless draw

Early results for Ivan Juric's team have been encouraging, with victories over Genoa and Salernitana and draws against Cagliari and Roma. However, the team's shortcomings have been exposed in losses to Milan and Lazio. In their first six weeks of competition this season, Hellas Verona has also shown some promise, defeating Empoli and Roma, drawing Bologna, and losing to Sassuolo, Milan, and Atalanta. To get themselves out of the relegation zone, they'll be eager to start scoring soon.

Both teams had opportunities to score throughout the frantic first half, but Torino appeared more likely to do so thanks to a great effort from Valentin Lazaro. It was obvious that the home team was in control and applying pressure on Hellas Verona. The Gialloblu managed to keep the Granata's opportunities to a minimum in the second half while the game went into halftime without a goal. Their own efforts, however, fell short of the mark.
