Gonzalo Higuain will finally get to sleep properly after this Saturday's Serie A debut with Juventus FC, the most expensive player in Italian football history had all the pressure on him to make a decent debut with his new side and he didn't disappoint. The 'Old Lady' played against Fiorentina this Saturday and started winning the match thanks to a Khedira header but Kalinic managed to upset the locals with his own equalizer, but the best was reserved for Gonzalo Higuain.
After entering the match during the second half, he grabbed a rebound after a Khedira shot and scored the winning goal near the end of the match. After the match, he spoke to Mediaset Premium buzzing in excitement: "I am very happy for my debut, for the victory and the goal. We must continue like this. It was very important to start with a win. We worked hard and the victory was deserved. I hope to repay the affection of the fans with many goals. I want to win as many titles as possible, but we’re just at the beginning. I dedicate the goal to everyone who had faith in me."
Manager Max Allegri was also happy with the Argentine's performance, he told Sky Sport Italia that we should expect more goals from Gonzalo: "[Higuain] is in better shape [than when he joined], just as everyone is. We have five new players and need to become a team. I am very happy with the first half. We defended in a fairly organised manner in the second half too. When [Higuain] gets half a chance, he scores a goal, as you saw [against Fiorentina]. And he's not in shape yet, but above all needs to improve his understanding with his new team-mates."
