Hoffenheim expressed interest in signing Willy Gnonto

Italy’s astonishing player Willy Gnonto recently played against Germany in the Nations League and might come back to the country next season, as TSG Hoffenheim entertains the idea to sign the winger. The 18-year-old is a result of the Inter youth academy but shortly after his spell left as a free agent to team up with FC Zurich in July 2020.

He dazzled with 10 goals and 5 assists in 36 games for the Swiss club, and even earned his senior Italy debut and making it his fourth cap with the recent game as well. Hoffenheim is the latest club to join the race for Gnonto’s signature as the Bundesliga outfit competes with Serie A sides like Sassuolo, Sampdoria, Bologna, Torino, and newly-promoted Monza. The player is contracted to stay at FC Zurich till June 2023 and the club is demanding €10-15m for him this transfer season.
