Ciro Immobile has officially announced his retirement at the age of 36, bringing to a close one of the most prolific careers of the modern era. The news, revealed by Paris FC, surprised many across the football world, marking the end of a journey that produced 321 goals and 76 assists in 641 professional appearances.
In a statement, Paris FC hailed Immobile as a “legend”, celebrating a career enriched by seven major trophies, including Italy’s Euro 2021 triumph. Individually, his achievements include the European Golden Shoe in 2019‑20 and four Serie A top‑scorer titles, confirming his status among Europe’s elite forwards.
Born in Torre Annunziata, Immobile represented 12 clubs, from Juventus and Dortmund to Lazio, where he enjoyed his most iconic spell. His final seasons took him to Beşiktaş, Bologna and Paris FC. After nearly two decades at the top, Immobile leaves an enduring legacy built on consistency, resilience and extraordinary finishing.
