Ince is mesmerized by Paul Pogba

At first thing in the morning, rumors from Italy suggested a meeting between Manchester United officials and football agent Mino Raiola. The main topic of conversation was of course, Paul Pogba's transfer to the Red Devils. To all of those who don't know, the French midfielder started playing football in the Manchester United youth academy and his talent was undeniable from the very start. However, a slight touch of arrogance in front of Sir Alex Ferguson got him transferred to Juventus FC where he has flourished as one of the best players in the world.

Pogba was so sure of where his talents would end up taking him, that's why when Ferguson refused to promote him to the first team at United he chose to leave. Now that the Scotsman is gone and Jose Mourinho has arrived, suddenly Paul has become one of the most coveted players for the Portuguese manager. According to Italian sources in the press, United is willing to pay a record €114 million for his transfer and Pogba seems willing to go back to his old club.

For United legend Paul Ince, Pogba's progression as a player has been outstanding and he believes the Juventus midfielder would be the best signing in years for the Red Devils. He spoke to Sky Sports about it: "Alex Ferguson would have been disappointed to have lost him at such a young age. But I think his style of football will suit the Premier League more than the Spanish league. I remember when I first went to Inter in Serie A and I was that kind of aggressive player and every time I made a tackle I was getting booked, that was frustrating.

"So Pogba now coming into a league where it is tough, where he can show what he's all about, I think is a perfect fit for him and for Man United. Who he plays alongside, whether it's [Michael] Carrick, [Morgan] Schneiderlin or [Bastian] Schweinsteiger - I don't know.  But if United can get Pogba then that sends out the signal that we are really going for it this year."
