Inter are interested in signing Germany U20 midfielder Damar, according to a source close to the club. Marotta has put Damar on his shortlist and Inter are trying to find a way to bring in established players while also strengthening their youth academy.
Damar is a 19-year old attacking midfielder who is blessed with great technique and physical strength. The source adds that Damar can play with both his feet and has great free-kick capabilities, which have made him a sensation on YouTube. He has already represented several German clubs in his youth career, having spent time at youth levels at Hertha Berlin, as well as on loan at several other clubs. He signed a long-term contract with Hoffenheim in 2022, with a view to staying at the Bundesliga club until 2026.
