Inter are reportedly hoping to include a significant buy-back clause

According to reports on Sunday, Inter is apparently aiming to add a sizeable buy-back provision in a prospective deal with Olympique de Marseille for 19-year-old star Valentin Carboni. The final terms of a move for the 2024 Copa America champion will be discussed at a meeting between the two teams this coming week.

The Nerazzurri continue to assert that, while they would prefer not to lose the 2023–24 Monza loanee, they would let him go for a €40 million price if forced to sell. In the meanwhile, Marseille wants to sign Carboni on loan with the option to purchase him for €36 million plus bonuses, which is not too far from Inter's current asking price. Inter hopes to incorporate a buy-back provision worth between €40 million and €45 million to lessen the impact of perhaps losing one of their most intriguing players.
