Inter defeated 10-man Como 2-0

Although Inter defeated 10-man Como 2-0, they were one point away from winning Serie A.

Antonio Conte's team defeated leaders Napoli on Friday, even though the Champions League finalists knew they would need to rely on a favour from Cagliari. Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku scored goals in either half to give Napoli a 2-0 victory and their fourth Scudetto. Simone Inzaghi decided to make six changes to his squad because they were about to play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. It didn't really matter, though, as Inter easily defeated Cesc Fabregas' club, who had won eight straight league games going into the match. Pepe Reina had a terrible last game before his professional career ended, but Stefan de Vrij's brilliant header in the 20th minute gave them the lead.
