Francesco Acerbi has lost his charm at Lazio, ever since his incident in December. His absence did not have an impact on the Biancocelesti who found a replacement in Maurizio Sarri instead. With Acerbi out with an injury, Sarri has offered a more dependable answer to Lazio’s problem with better results.
While Acerbi’s contract with the team is set to run till 2025, an early exit could be around the corner for him. Keeping an eye on the whole development is former coach Simone Inzaghi who is hoping to reunite with the player at Inter. Lazio is due for a defensive overhaul as well this season, Luiz Felipe already has one foot out the door, Patric’s contract with the team is expiring at the end of the season as well. Biancocelesti has set their eye on fresh blood, they already submitted a bid for Alessio Romagnoli, while Nicolò Casale and Igor Zubeldia are also on their radar.
