After ending his playing career at the end of the previous season, former Inter captain Samir Handanovic joined the team in a new capacity. For the Nerazzurri, the 39-year-old has had a brief reconnaissance assignment. In the last two months, he has watched a lot of players. And it seems like Handanovic is concentrating his scouting efforts on the goalkeeping position.
It goes without saying that the Slovenian has a keen eye for goalies. In terms of the long-term future between the sticks, Handanovic's scouting seems to be a major part of Inter's plan. At Inter, the goal hierarchy is currently very obvious. Yann Sommer, a veteran of Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich, is without a doubt the best. Additionally, he has had a terrific first year with the Nerazzurri.
