Inter Milan extends its lead at the top to six points

Antonio Conte's side sealed a sixth back-to-back league win with Romelu Lukaku playing an important role to support his former Manchester United teammate, Alexis Sanchez which saw Inter Milan beat Parma 2-1 on Thursday. Sanchez’s double came in the second half to lead Inter Milan six points in the clear at the top. Taking advantage of the fact that their rivals were held to a 1-1 draw against Udinese on Wednesday and Juventus is four points below with a game in hand.

Conte later stated that this year’s battle is intense with just 13 more games left in the season each match counts and the team has improved a lot from last year. Sanchez replaced Lautaro Martinez in the roster to lead Inter with Lukaku in this match. Parma 'keeper Luigi Sepe was working hard as well he denied Lukaku just before the break. While Samir Handanovic fought against a close-range attack by Jasmin Kurtic.
