Inter Milan have approached attacking midfielder Daniel Maldini

The Brianzoli executive splashed some cold water between the Nerazzurri and former AC Milan star Maldini in an interview with reporters via FCInterNews. In recent weeks, Maldini has been a potential transfer target for Inter. On the one hand, it's a concept that would undoubtedly draw some criticism.

This is due to the close familial ties that exist between Maldini and AC Milan, Inter's local rivals. The 23-year-old is the son of Paolo Maldini, the renowned former Milan captain. He is his family's third member to play for the Rossoneri. However, transfers between Milan and Inter are not unheard of. Furthermore, the maneuver could make sense on the field. Maldini fits the description of a player who does something different from what the other forwards in Inter's roster do.
