

In order to reclaim the top rank in Serie A on Saturday, Inter Milan overcame lowly visiting Udinese with a strong performance that was capped off by an incredible long-range attempt from Lautaro Martinez. Inter surpassed second-place Juventus by two points with their 1-0 victory against champion Napoli at home on Friday. Juventus now has 36 points.
After defender Nehuen Perez fouled Martinez and the play was reviewed by VAR, Hakan Calhanoglu scored a penalty kick for Inter in the 36th minute to take the lead. After receiving help from Calhanoglu, Federico Dimarco scored five minutes later with an incredible left-foot effort into the corner of the net. Two minutes later, Marcus Thuram scored with an incredible finish after Henrikh Mkhitaryan crossed the ball into the area. Udinese, who are now ranked sixteenth, had a chance to score in the 67th minute, but striker Lorenzo Lucca's attempt was ruled offside.
