Beppe Marotta, the CEO of Inter, has expressed interest in Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson ahead of the summer transfer window. The Icelandic international, though, is also attracting interest from other Italian and foreign clubs, thus the Griffins anticipate a bidding battle for the services of their highly valued asset.
Up until recently, Gudmundsson's potential suitors in the Premier League were none other than renowned team Tottenham Hotspur. However, the 26-year-old has decided against moving to England from Serie A, which might give Inter a significant transfer boost. Inter will soon lose Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic in the coming transfer window and thus they are in the market for a new forward. His contract at Luigi Ferraris is set to end in 2027 but Genoa could be persuaded to let him go for €35 million. In the current season, he has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in the 35 league appearances for Genoa.
