Jese won't accept being a sub

In football sometimes we get some players who are inexperienced, players who just because they won a certain kind of recognition or because they've played in a certain club they feel like they don't have to fight for a place in a new club. For youngster Jese Rodriguez who is still clearly immature, being a sub is not something he can take throughout the whole season at PSG.

Jese thinks he is just as good as the best players in his club, a situation that has turned incredibly uncomfortable for his teammates and the manager in the club. But far from feeling sorry for making a scene in the last game where he was subbed, Jese spoke to a public newspaper to double down on his rant about not deserving to be a substitute.

Talking to Le Parisien, Jese Rodriguez said: "Cavani is a great player, but I am no substitute. We must all fight to hold [a place in the team]. I come here with the desire to play all games, although I know there are great players in Paris. I am someone who has character and likes things to [progress] quickly. [It is] up to me to prove that I deserve to play as a starter. I will tell you my target when the season is over, but it is beyond 10 goals."
