In the middle of a large amount of controversy after Spain's last defeat against the Croatia National team, there is a lot of doubt around what Spain will actually be able to do against a very complicated side such as Antonio Conte's. The Spanish press is currently debating on many open fronts, the most controversial one is the goalkeeper starting spot. David de Gea is being questioned in the spot because of the mistakes he made against Croatia, but there are other topics of conversation and debate.
Amidst all the fired currently being put out, Atletico Madrid right-back Juanfran wanted to send his teammates a message as a way of motivation. He believes that the same philosophy of taking each game day by day is the best way to go. Their next objective is Spain and looking beyond that would be a mistake for Juanfran, they have to put all they have on defeating Italy next weekend and then see what happens.
During a press conference this Thursday, the Atletico player said: "Whether our game is the most difficult, we will see. We can apply the philosophy of Atletico, take it game by game. In the majority of the three games, we have been the better team. I believe that too much has been made about the defeat. We are convinced that we are going to qualify for the next round. Any opponent that we get in the last 16 will be tough to play."
