Juventus 1-1 draw against Atalanta

Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Atalanta retained Juventus in Serie A once more, with little progress made towards either team's goals. The Bianconeri are currently in fifth position in the league despite having drawn 13 times so far this season. Even if they were a bit more appreciative of their point following a late equaliser by Mateo Retegui, Atalanta, who are currently nine points clear in third place, have now drawn three straight games.

Nine minutes after halftime, Pierre Kalulu had ended the Juventus stalemate by slipping the ball past onrushing custodian Marco Carnesecchi at the near post after Weston McKennie had sent the ball into the area. In the three-points-for-a-win era, this is only the second occasion a side has drawn 13 of their first 20 games in a Serie A season; Inter did it one better in 2004–05, drawing 14.
