Juventus defeated Lecce 3-0 to take the lead in Serie A, but the resolute home team made them earn their victory. Juventus delivered a message to Inter Milan, who are presently focused on the Italian Super Cup, by winning all three points thanks to goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Bremer. The first half was dull and never really seemed to get up steam, but the home team had the better of the openings, with Nikola Krstovic missing two half chances.
His initial shot missed the post, and his second attempt to open the score went over the bar after he was set up by a well-placed cross. Despite their strong league standings, Juventus was unable to penetrate Lecce's defence in the opening half and were frequently left dissatisfied as many attempts failed. After taking a well-executed corner, Juventus came out stronger in the second half and were unfortunate not to go ahead when Weston McKenzie's header was stopped.
