Juventus might sacrifice the wrong man

With previous Defender of the Year Gleison Bremer and new recruit Juan Cabal both sidelined for the season due to ACL rupture, Juventus has found themselves in a bit of a bind. There are still a few strong central defenders available for the Bianconeri, including veteran Danilo, rising star Federico Gatti, and Pierre Kalulu, a former AC Milan player who will be an even stronger summer 2024 addition than Cabal.

Juventus may use a fourth player to bolster their depth for the rest of the Serie A season, even though those three defenders are excellent. The Bianconeri are one of the few clubs vying for the title in the most open Scudetto race in history. Therefore, a number of potential defensive additions are being connected to Juventus in January, but it also seems that the Old Lady is willing to make some concessions in order to get a new central defender.
