With Thiago Motta in charge, the Bianconeri appear to be a much more formidable squad in 2024–25. Motta is finally constructing a Juventus project centered around youthful standouts. But, in order to strengthen their defense this winter, Juventus may consider adding a more seasoned player. Arguably the greatest center defender in Serie A, Gleison Bremer, suffered a season-ending injury when he tore his ACL during a thrilling Champions League victory against RB Leipzig.

Ardian Ismajli, an underappreciated player for Empoli, is a strong contender to start with Federico Gatti, one of the breakthrough stars of the season, and aid the Serie A championship hopefuls. But according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is keeping an eye on Milan Skriniar, a former Inter Milan player who was one of the biggest players in the Italian top division while he was a member of the Nerazzurri. Skriniar is an even larger name at center defense.
