The Santiago Bernabeu crowd is probably one of the most difficult and demanding crowds in football history. They have always jeered any player who they think deserve it, even if said player is someone who has made history with the club. In the past, players like Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Raul Gonzalez and Iker Casillas have all been jeered. This is something that Brazilian Kaka doesn't understand, jeering players who have given so much to a club is something he completely disapproves.
During an interview with Cadena Cope, Brazilian Kaka analyzed the current season and the upcoming El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid: "Barcelona have 10 points ahead of Real Madrid, which is a lot for a competition such as La Liga where you can't make any mistakes. But in El Clasico, both teams always want to win and I expect Real Madrid can pull it off."
He also spoke about his spell with the club, where he didn't really shine with the same intensity he did with Milan: "I learned a lot of things. I learned to fight, to be patient and wait for my moment... Of course I wanted things to end in terms of results. I wasn't consistent for two reasons. The first one is the injuries I had and then the manager's decisions when he picked someone else to play, but I always respected his decisions. I always looked to work and improve. My time in Real Madrid was very good on the personal level but I would've loved to get better results."
Kaka is convinces that Zidane will end up doing a good job as Los Blancos' manager, he also disapproved the fans who jeer Cristiano Ronaldo: "Zidane has a lot of experience as a player because he played and won many trophies. He is a winner by nature and he knows how to conduct himself in a dressing room very well, he also knows how to understand the players. I can and he will be a great manager for Real Madrid.
"I would recommend Ronaldo to stay in the Bernabeu. The effect of things that happen there is huge both ways. If things don't go well the effect is huge, but if they go well the effect is also very big. A lot of what has happened with Cristiano and the name he has today is because of everything he has done in Real Madrid. Of course Cristiano is a great player, I'm not talking about his quality as a player, I'm talking about what he has given to Real Madrid. I would like to see the fans have a little more respect for him for everything he has done for this club... Hearing the jeers sometimes against him is not good after everything he has done for the team."
Kaka also understands the criticism against him: "When you play in Real Madrid you know how everything works. People like Zidane, Raul and Casillas have also been criticized.... This is always like that. When you go to Real Madrid you already know the kind of crowd you'll find, I would only like to see a little more appreciation to what Cristiano has done there which has been a lot."
