Despite having won the Champions League, all of Real Madrid supporters know very well that it's very important for them to win the Spanish La Liga because that proves how much you dominate the domestic competition. In the past decade, FC Barcelona has won seven out of ten titles, that's dominance in any country. The big challenge for Real Madrid now that they have presented their credentials on the continental stage, is to take the domestic title out of Barcelona's hands and keep on winning for the next decade.
For Brazilian playmaker Kaka, Zinedine Zidane can pull that off no problem, he told Omnisport that: "I think when you win the Champions League, you're on top of the world. It's the most important championship. But of course, this year, Madrid are going to try and win everything they can because they need to win. It's been a few years since Madrid won LaLiga, so Zidane will try and win the league because they won the Champions League already."
Still talking about Zidane, Kaka added: "He has respect from everybody because he won everything as a player and as a coach he guided them to the most important championship. I think now he wants to win the league. Of course if he can, he will try to win everything, the three titles. This is the most important thing in Spain if you can win all three championships that's perfect. He will try and win the league and retain the Champions League. Also they have the Club World Cup. They just won the Super Cup. So Zidane is doing a very good job."
