Atakan Karazor has been called up to the Turkish national team for the first time.
VfB Stuttgart captain Atakan Karazor has earned his first call-up to the Turkish national team after some remarkable performances. The Essen-born Karazor was also eligible to play for Germany, but has opted to represent Turkey and so withdrew from the chance to be a part of German National team.
The 27-year-old has been named in Vincenzo Montella's squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Montenegro and Iceland.
Karazor has played in all nine of Stuttgart's matches this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
