The most exciting match of this new season in Spain is upon us, two of the most competitive sides of the last few years in Europe will meet at the Camp Nou. FC Barcelona gets Atletico Madrid's visit with both sides getting here at a sweet moment. The Colchoneros had a complicated start, they weren't able to score any goals in the first two fixtures but got back on the winning train right in time for their first serious major test. Both clubs come from winning convincingly in both La Liga and Champions League.
After the Colchoneros' demolishing victory against Sporting Gijon, they are confident enough to take on the challenge against Barcelona. Atletico's own Koke told Marca that: "This must continue - we haven't done anything yet, we are just starting and now play Barcelona. We need all the enthusiasm in the world to bring back three points. It is a very difficult game against one of the best teams in the world, but we have the desire to compete and win there.
"It has been a very good week with three wins. Our pace is increasing with each game and we are very well prepared physically. The midfield has felt good, I think also the [Sporting] game was a bit easy at first, because we were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes. We felt comfortable and were pressing well in the midfield."
