Sky Sport Italia report that Atalanta have agreed terms with former Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac, who is a free agent after his Olympique Marseille contract expired. The center-back, who turned 30 last month, has never played in the Serie A, despite having been linked to various Italian teams in recent years. He may have verbally agreed to join Atalanta, and he'll be in Italy next week for a checkup.
He may then sign a two-year deal with a third-season extension at that point. The international player for Bosnia and Herzegovina was born and reared in Germany. He began his career at Karlsruhe and later played for Hoffenheim, Stuttgart, Schalke 04, and Arsenal before joining Olympique Marseille on a free transfer in January 2022. With 41 competitive appearances for Marseille this season, four goals, and one assist, Kolasinac will be a useful addition for Gian Piero Gasperini's team both in attack and defence.
