Kroos's entourage clarifies his words that he will 'work at Madrid academy'

The German will retire once his country's participation in the European Championship is over. As a result, he is already beginning to see a future off the pitch.

In an interview with ‘Kicker’, the German midfielder assured that his future will continue to be linked to Real Madrid: "I will work in the youth academy", said the player.

"When I retire, I will spend my free time with my family, continue the podcast with my brother Felix and work with the Real Madrid youth academy. In September I will also start the Icon League that I founded with Elias Nerlich," said Kroos.

The German gave a simple reason why he has decided to retire: "Because I simply want to be remembered as 34-year-old Toni Kroos, who in the end played his best season for Real Madrid. I consider it a compliment that many people think it comes too soon".
