Kvaratskhelia completes successful knee surgery

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has undergone successful surgery on his right knee following a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

The Georgia international suffered the serious injury during PSG’s Champions League clash with Barcelona, bringing a premature end to his season. He underwent surgery on Tuesday at the ASPETAR hospital in Doha, Qatar, and will now begin an extensive rehabilitation programme.

Kvaratskhelia is expected to remain sidelined for several months, making a return before the end of the current campaign highly unlikely. PSG will instead focus on ensuring the winger completes his recovery without rushing the process.

The 25-year-old has established himself as an important attacking figure for the French champions since joining the club, and his absence represents a significant blow to their ambitions across domestic and European competitions.

The priority now is a full recovery, with Kvaratskhelia targeting a return to his best level ahead of the 2027-28 season.
