Late in the game, 10-man Rossoblu falters

After Tommaso Pobega was dismissed, Bologna played the bulk of the second half with 10 men, but Hellas Verona came late to capture all three points in a final 3-2 Serie A victory. The goals came from Santiago Castro, Amin Sarr, Casper Tengstedt, and Benja Dominguez.

After 20 minutes, Dominguez gave Bologna a 1-0 lead with a brilliant move that sent the ball out from under his feet and into the bottom corner of the net in a crowded penalty area. Bologna struck through Dominguez again, even though they were down to ten men. The teenage Argentine was in the correct position to slam home the rebound with his first touch for 2-2 after Jens Odgaard's free-kick from 25 yards out struck the post.  With two minutes of normal time left, Verona, who enjoyed the numerical advantage for the better part of forty minutes, ultimately took the lead. Earlier Sarr and Tengstedt had scored for Verona to level the score.
