Calvin Stengs is a creative midfielder for Feyenoord, and Lazio is stepping up talks with the intention of landing him for €12 million plus bonuses. Sportitalia claims that although the club had previously considered Stengs during the January transfer window, they have now chosen to resume discussions following Luis Alberto's sale to Al-Duhail for an estimated €11 million. They moved one step closer to a potential deal today with the second meeting between his agents and the Feyenoord board.
The Italian sources are convinced a deal can be done for €12m plus add-ons, making it more or less an operation paid for by the Luis Alberto sale, despite some speculating that the asking price was €20m. Gustav Isaksen, a winger for Lazio, is reportedly of interest to Feyenoord as well, although this would be a separate discussion rather than an exchange.
