Lazio beat Cagliari 3-1

The Biancocelesti have been under pressure lately due to a string of unsatisfactory performances, including losses to Atalanta and Inter and draws with Napoli. There were even suggestions that Maurizio Sarri may be fired, something that President Claudio Lotito explicitly denied. Before their encounter against Lazio on Saturday afternoon, Cagliari have lost their last three league games, so things haven't been looking great for Claudio Ranieri's team. The group has to start accumulating points right away because they are currently in the relegation zone.

The Sardinian team Lazio got off to a fast start and seized the lead in a pretty peculiar way in the 26th minute. After Gustav Isaksen passed across the six-yard box, there was a scramble in the Cagliari defenders, and Alessandro Deiola managed to prod the ball into his own net, giving the away team a 1-0 lead.
