Lazio defeating Monza 5-1

Lazio returned to the top four of Serie A on Sunday after defeating Monza, who were in last position, 5-1 in Rome. After thirty-one minutes, Adam Marusic gave the home team the lead, and they dominated the remainder of the game.

Taty Castellanos and Pedro both scored goals before Stefano Sensi gave the visitors a penalty kick in the 86th minute. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru gave Lazio a four-goal advantage again two minutes later. Paulo Dybala, a pre-match uncertainty, scored a penalty in the 57th minute to give Roma a 1-0 victory over second-last Venezia. Claudio Ranieri, the Roma coach, stated, "I didn't want him to play at all, but he told me: 'I want to play.'" "I didn't want to risk him."  The win lifted Roma to ninth in the table.
