Marco Brescianini's late equalizer negated Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's first-half goal for the home team, ending Atalanta's winning streak in Serie A with a 1-1 draw against Lazio. Atalanta's 11-game winning streak came to an end, but Gian Piero Gasperini's team still leads the standings with 41 points, one more than Internazionale, who defeated Cagliari 3-0 earlier. With 35 points, Lazio is in fourth place.
Lazio got out to a fast start in the first few minutes, with Matteo Guendouzi capping the drive with a long-range shot that went off the post after Atalanta keeper Marco Carnesecchi saved a double opportunity from Valentin Castellanos. After controlling the first half, Lazio was rewarded in the 27th minute when Dele-Bashiru cut inside the box and blasted a bouncing volley into the net after Nicolo Rovella had sent a superb pass. Two minutes before halftime, Brescianini easily tapped in an open goal from close range after a Lookman pass, earning the visitors a draw.
