Lazio holds back AC Milan

AC Milan were held back in a nail-biting 2-2 draw at Lazio. Milan coach Paulo Fonseca benched key players Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez as he attempted to mix things up after two disastrous starts. However, both were introduced immediately after Lazio grabbed the lead in the 66th minute with two fast tap-ins from Valentin Castellanos and Boulaye Dia, canceling out Strahinja Pavlovic's early opening. Rafael Leao rescued Milan, scoring one minute after being introduced with the Rossoneri behind 1-2 against Lazio. Milan recovered one point in the Stadio Olimpico but failed to earn their first win of the season after another poor display.

Leao tied the game after combining with Hernandez and fellow replacement Tammy Abraham, who made his Milan debut less than a day after joining on loan from Roma. However, Milan is 14th with two points, which is hardly the start supporters expected after Fonseca replaced Stefano Pioli in the offseason.
