Lazio was defeated 2-1 by Hellas Verona

In Serie A on Saturday, Lazio was defeated 2-1 by Hellas Verona as a result of two errors that the hosts made. In Rome, Adrien Tameze won the match thanks to a Lazio own goal and a goal from Manuel Lazzari. Early in the second half, Felipe Caicedo tied the score for the capital team.

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi stated, "We knew that Hellas would create problems for us, the team gave everything but unfortunately we paid dearly for our errors." "On our own, we handed them the two goals. We didn't deserve to fall short, for sure. After qualifying for the Champions League knockout round for the first time in 20 years, Lazio was feeling quite optimistic. Verona defeated Lazio for the first time since 2013 and moved up to sixth place, two points ahead of its rival. Verona leads the rest of the weekend's play by one point, sitting in fourth place.
