Rafael Leão is set to leave Milan after agreeing to join Galatasaray in a deal worth €45 million plus add‑ons, ending weeks of negotiations and uncertainty. The breakthrough arrived on Friday, when press confirmed the transfer with his trademark announcement, signalling the conclusion of Leão’s long Serie A spell. The Portuguese winger had initially prioritised a Premier League move and waited for a renewed bid from Aston Villa, but no offer materialised as the deadline approached.

Galatasaray’s project ultimately convinced him, prompting the decision to head to Turkey. Milan will receive a substantial fee for a player who became one of the club’s defining figures over seven seasons. Leão departs as a key contributor to recent successes, ready to close the San Siro chapter and embrace a fresh start in Istanbul.
