Lecce holds back Fiorentina from entering top four

After two goals in stoppage time condemned Fiorentina to a 3-2 loss at Lecce, the team lost their chance to climb into the Champions League spots in Serie A. Just when Fiorentina were certain to win, Roberto Piccoli and Patrick Dorgu scored goals in additional time, ending Lecce's six-game losing skid. Lucas Beltran's fifth league goal of the season was gifted to him by Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone, and Rolando Mandragora’s strike had set the team on the winning path but later Fiorentina folded under pressure.

In the ninetieth minute, the momentum of the game changed when Piccoli scored with a header, and shortly after, Dorgu's first-ever goal set off raucous celebrations among the home supporters. With the win, Lecce rises six points above the relegation zone to take 13th position.
