Leipzig 2-1 win over Stuttgart

Before the Hungarian midfielder gave his club the lead with a swerving, dipping free kick in the 25th minute that goalkeeper Florian Müller could only push into his own net, Szoboszlai hadn't scored in the league since September. With the second goal in the 49th, Szoboszlai displayed his technical prowess by controlling a header from teammate André Silva on the outside of the penalty area with just one touch before letting the ball down and firing a half-volley that gave Müller no chance.

Stuttgart had several opportunities to take advantage of Leipzig's defensive lapses while engaged in a battle to avoid relegation, but they weren't successful enough in doing so. Nikolas Nartey of Stuttgart had a one-on-one opportunity with Janis Blaswich of Leipzig just prior to Szoboszlai's second goal to tie the game, but his effort squirmed wide of the far post.
