Lenglet calling curtains on Barcelona tenure

Clement Lenglet was one of the players Barcelona leased away over the summer. The Frenchman departed Tottenham Hotspur for Aston Villa this season following a turbulent stint there, and despite his early troubles, he has solidified his place in the squad. A report from MARCA claims that Lenglet will not be going back to Barcelona.

In the summer, the Catalans will attempt to sell him, although his large salary raises some eyebrows. He may have to take a pay cut in order to secure a long-term apartment at a club. Although there were rumors in January that AC Milan was interested in signing him on a loan, Villa never gave the go-ahead for him to go. But in the end, Lenglet appears to have settled well at the team; since mid-December, he has started 12 Premier League games.
